In this unit I have learned about parts of speech, in particular I now understand compound nouns. It was very useful learning how to order adjectives in a sentence. I did not know about transitive and intransitive verbs, so this has been helpful and I can now explain the rules to my students. I leaned the difference between present participles and gerunds., which again has clarified an area of confusion for me. I thought there were more than 3 auxiliary verbs, now I know there are not. Learning the function of conjunctions and actually being able to explain it simply will be very useful. This unit had a lot of information to take in, but it was very useful.
