This unit contained the basics of English grammar. Examples of nouns (countable and uncountable), pronouns (personal, possessive, reflexive, etc.), verbs (irregular, simple, and participial), adjectives (comparisons and superlatives), adverbs, and articles (definite and indefinite) were given, and their uses in sentence structure and as parts of speech described. Particularly useful were the examples of completed sentences, both correct and incorrect, after the descriptions of the parts of speech, and the examples of how new learners of English would be confused by these rules and potentially use them in awkward or incorrect ways in sentence creation.
