I believe that I have learned the importance of knowing proper grammar Before trying to teach english to speakers of other languages. Clearly you cannot teach proper or correct English unless you have, at least, a basic understanding of the Grammar of your own language and it's proper usage.
I also learned that I need to take time to make sure I have a better understanding and knowledge of proper grammar usage so as not to confuse or frustrate any students I may teach in the future.
