This unit is a very brief overview of basic grammatical notions such as sentence structure and sentence-building elements. I guess this is to make sure everyone knows the very basics of English Before going on to more difficult notions. Personally, I would think that if you do not know the things in Unit 2, you might want to spend a few years learning English before thinking of teaching it to other people. That said, it's a good overview if you understand everything but lack the specific grammatical terminology.
