This unit discussed basic parts of speech, basically an intro to English grammar. I wouldn't say I learned much, but I was reminded of many things from my early school days! Different parts of speech include nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, articles, prepositions...and more specific forms of each, eg. countable vs uncountable verbs, superlative vs. comparative adjectives. If anything, what I learned from this course is that teaching English grammar will be easy in some ways, and much more difficult in others, because there are so many exceptions and forms of speech that have no specific rules, but just "feel right"" or sound better. English students will have lots of memorization ahead of them!"
