In this unit I learnt about the parts of speech and an introduction to grammar. For example; Verbs, Nouns, Articles, Adjectives, Adverbs, Pronouns, Prepositions, Gerunds, Conjunction and Interjection. The unit covered common examples of the grammar written above. The unit has a good balance of theory with easy to understand examples that help explain the subject matter and could be used to supplement a teacher?s arsenal of grammatical material. ", Native speakers of English are naturally able to use parts of speech correctly. This is a skill that will most likely never come naturally to ESL learners. ESL learners must study the meaning and nuances behind every word. Therefore it's critical that ESL teachers study and understand particles of speech in order to become effective teachers., I have some basic knowledge about basic English grammar . This lesson aslo helps me know a little about how to teach English grammar to my students in the future ., I have some basic knowledge about basic English grammar .It helped me to know so many things what i thought i knew but actually i don't really know . I have a good overview about English grammar after this unit. I'm not sure all of the knowledge will stick well in my head since I feel like some of it was passed over quite quickly and could have used more examples to allow me to grasp it more fully. I feel like this will be easily solved with further study on my own time combined with re-reading of this module as needed., This unit was a bit more difficult that the first
