This unit was a great introduction to the parts of speech, which are the building blocks of sentences. Without understanding these building blocks it is impossible to further comprehend sentence structure. It touched on many of the difficulties and challenges of English. The variety of words and how they are used in a lawful way is hard enough, but the irregular verbs, gerunds and the different types of pronouns make it all the more daunting for teacher and student alike.
