which simply refers to -ing. I'm not sure if I will stop saying -ing and start saying gerunds instead This unit focused on the basic functions of English grammar. During this unit I pictured myself trying to teach young students these rules. I envisioned establishing realistic goals for the comprehension of grammatical use by the children. I take it for granted that I use English and can hear grammatical mistakes or misuse of grammatical features. This unit was a great review on basic grammar rules. I realized that I still seem to have issues when it comes to adverbs, but, thankfully, I am improving! This unit is a great example of how to structure a future lesson on basic grammar and the functions of different parts of speech.
