No one could expect a teacher to be a walkingh grammra, but there are certain basic rules that one should be aware if he/she wants to be e teacher-te different kinds of verbs-transitive or intansitive, definite or indefinite articles, comperative abjectives, personal pronouns. It is clear in this section that there the grammar that makes up sentences is complex and that there are no concrete rules when it comes to the English language. However, breaking it down into individual pieces (noun, adjective, preposition, etc) makes it easier to digest and to teach individuals. Having not studied this in years. It was refreshing to be reminded of some of the rules that I so commonly use in everyday speech. Some of these I just knew but didn't, or couldn't remember the reasoning for why I knew it was correct.
