This unit is about the different parts of speech that are: articles, nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, pronouns, gerunds, prepositions and conjunctions. Each part of speech has a specific usage and might have different types. In addition, there is often a regular form of the single part of the speech and some irregular forms as well. I have learnt that there are patterns to follow, for example that defines in which order to use a series of adjectives, but it is important to have a deep knowledge of the language because pattern are not strict rules applicable in every scenario. I have learnt that is always useful to have in mind some examples that are very useful to clarify the grammar that a teacher is exposing. In conclusion, there are many exceptions in the learning process, therefore sometimes students have to simply memorize them.
