In unit two an introduction to grammar-parts of speech we learnt the importance of sentence structure and what makes up a sentence. The basic parts of speech that we I learnt about were nouns, verbs, adjectives, articles, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions. These parts of speech when then further broken down into there uses and types, for example pronouns was broken down into four different types: personal, possessive, reflexive and relative. I found this unit very useful as a native speaker of English as even though speaking in a grammatically correct way comes naturally I had a limited understanding of the different parts of speech and grammar that I use. I feel now that I have a good understanding of how and what to use when forming a sentence in terms of its structure. I felt like the information provided was easy to understand and I am excited to find fun ways to help non-native speakers of English learn the the different parts of speech.
