The basic parts of speech for the English language have many elements. Even within certain parts of speech, for example, adverbs; which describe an adjective, have 5 main types including manner, place, time, degree, and frequency. It was also noted that some verb forms are irregular and will have to be memorized along with its past participle and present participle. In order to effectively teach these subjects, I would use handouts and charts for students to take home and practice.
