This unit covers the different parts of speech. Different grammar topics include nouns, verbs, articles, prepositions, conjunctions, ect. When comparing nouns, adjectives can be comparative or superlative, depending on the number of items being compared. I learned the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs. Intransitive verbs can be the ending of a sentence, where as transitive verbs directly follows the object of the sentence. Nouns describe people, places, things, or ideas. Pronouns can replace a specific noun. They can be personal (she), possessive (hers), reflexive (herself), or relative (who). I also learned what a gerund is, which is the ?ing form of a verb.
