This unit regarding parts of speech gave a detailed introduction to grammar. It was broken down into many parts. They included nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, and prepositions/conjunctions. Each category was described in detail and many examples were given. I have learned many things in this unit. It was a great review of what I learned in grade school. There are many exceptions to the rules within certain categories. I will have to commit those to memory and teach my students to do the same.
