With the knowledge I obtained within this unit, I feel I have gotten a better understanding of how to break down sentences. I now find it easier to understand and easier to explain to others the 'parts of speech' in a sentence. I believe this will help me analyze other's understanding of English grammar. In this unit I learned about the different types of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, articles, gerunds, prepositions, and conjunction. In this unit it also covered some potential difficulties that students learning English as a second language can have as well as suggestions on how to present the material to reduce the potential of the material being misunderstood. I always had difficulty with grammar (parts of speech) but the video and worksheets helped me to differentiate the grammar rules and parts of speech better. The parts of speech in the worksheet is well organized and had a lot of great examples; watching the video helped a lot too.
