I am a native speaker of English, and I feel that I have a firm grasp on its grammar. This unit reminded me how much I take for granted. Yes, it is true that I speak English daily and for the most part correctly, yet I cannot always fully define why that is, or what rules I am following. This unit showed me the tremendous difficulty my students as non-native speakers will have with what I consider the basic grammar of English. I myself had trouble with some of it upon review. It will be helpful and necessary for me to review and master the English grammar yet again.
