This section essentially provides the bases for English grammar. It discusses, what exactly a verb, a noun, adjective and an adverb is. But it also discusses more difficult concepts such as transitive vs intransitive verbs. I think that this unit taught me how to break down English grammar into something that is digestible for students. For example breaking down an adverb into 5 main parts, manner, place, time, degree and frequency. I also learnt where students often mistakes when learning the english language which helped me understand the things I need to focus on when teaching the english language.
