Unit 2 is an excellent introduction to the parts of speech. Here we learn about various types of words we use including why, when and where (in a sentence) that we use them.
I learned how to break down a sentence into it's basic elements. I feel that I have gained some insight into teaching a student how to help a student build upon a simple sentence such as 'I am happy.' to convey a more accurate thought- 'I am happy when I eat candy.' and conversely how to break down complex sentences into simpler parts to more accurately divine the information conveyed.
