In this unit, I learned how to correctly identify and classify the parts of speech. In other words, I can now break down a sentence word by word and classify each word as a noun, possessive adjective, preposition etc. Throughout the unit, I was reminded of how complex English grammar is and how it is full of exceptions, making it difficult for students of other languages to fully grasp grammar structures and concepts.
