This unit breaks down language into its basic grammatical components; noun, verb, adjective, etc. I found this unit of particular importance because though I have a strong command of the English language, these technical aspects were glossed over when I was in school. I only knew a few of the most basic components (noun, verb, adjective) Before reading this section, so pretty much the whole chapter was an important learning experience. As a teacher it is important to know all these grammatical terms, their place and their rules so that you can explain yourself better when a student asks "why?""."
