I learned a lot from this unit. Even though I am a native English speaker I have not thought about grammar since elementary school. It was a good review for me on verbs. I did not remember the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs. Now I remember that a transitive verb needs an object to directly follow it. No one can just make, they have to make something. I also brushed up on adverbs and where they should be placed in a sentence. I did not know there was the trick of place-manner-time in regards to multiple adverbs. Also, I had no idea what a gerund was. Now I know it is a verb being used as a noun. I liked the example in the unit where playing was the subject for the verb is. This was a very helpful unit!
