I learned a great deal in this unit about the complexity of the various parts of speech. Nouns typically Name a person, place, or thing. They form the subject or object of a sentence. Verbs can be transitive, where they "do"" something to an object Most of these grammar concepts are natural to me so it was nice to see the technical explanation behind these grammar points. These explanations are great in terms of explaining why certain senteces are the way they are to help English learners understand the mechanics of how to construct a complete sentence. Parts of speech is a huge aspect of English and if the teacher is able to teach it effectively, learners should be able to a good grip of it and use English more effectively. If learners can hold a good grip of a basic English sentence, that is most definitely the most important foundation of their English skill.
