This unit introduced the essential parts of speech. The areas in which this units gave me a better understanding are gerunds, conjunctions and pronouns. I am now better able to explain the subtle differences between words that fall under those headings. The breaking down into sections (such as the five main types of adverbs) is something that allows me, as a visual learner, to more fully and quickly grasp nuances in language.
