This unit delved into the parts of speech of the English language and the grammar associated with each class of words. This provided a foundation from which we can further explore English grammar, since these make up the building blocks of every phrase we create or analyze from here on out. I honestly had never learned all of the parts of speech with respect to the English language, and often found myself comparing them to the grammar I had learned while learning to speak spanish. Thus this unit was incredibly useful for me and I feel that I clarified a number of unasked questions that I have had for many years.
