While I have been teaching in South Korea for the past year, I have
learned through trial and error a lot of the tips talked about in here about
dealing with and motivating students. However, I was still not very well
versed in the real methodology of properly teaching esl – techniques,
receptive and productive skills, phonology, etc. So learning about the
more “formal” side of teaching esl was really helpful to me. This
course was also a great opportunity for me to brush up on my knowledge
of english grammar. Even now, I can see how my lessons have improved
as a result of this course. I'm looking forward to implementing the
techniques that I learned more and more during the duration of my time in
South Korea. This course has made me a much more confident, able esl
teacher.
