I found it both interesting and amusing that cassette tapes are still being used. I recall that most of my professors used mp3 recordings on the computer and would use the classroom speakers. I guess it is the technological step up from a cassette tape or even a CD or DVD. I would also think that CDs (especially re-writeable CDs) would be more popular than cassettes.
