This unit covered teaching receptive skills. Receptive skills are reading and listening which go hand in hand with each. Reading is an easier skill to master since it is laid out in black and white and students can refer back to the material easier for context. Listening is the more difficult of the two because it requires greater concentration and grasp of the language to understand. Both are equally as important when learning a language.
