In Unit 2, I have gained basic the knowledge of the definitions and classifications of nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions. I have the grammar structures in my mind after this unit has finished. This has lead me to want to study how to effectively use methods that will teach grammatical point of complex and detail. This unit gave a few good ways to let students practice grammar. It also introduced grammar points that were helpful to learn,like, the different types of adverbs and their functions. Also the clarification of the difference between a gerund and the present participle was beneficial as well. In this unit I have learnt how to break up a sentence into the different parts of speach. This being subject, object, verbs, nouns, etc. I have learnt the different meanings of the parts and how they are used in sentences as well as how they change while speaking. I have learnt how to distinguish between the different parts.
