I learnt that 'do' is an auxdiliary verb in English. I'd never thought about that Before. And I learnt more about gerunds and adverbs. I had never thought about adverbs that don't describe a verb, and I was unsure what to call those parts of speech that I now know to be adverbs of that Type. This unit is an introduction to the grammar of the English language. It has some basic, but clear and useful, information about the parts of speech. I found this unit very interesting and it was a good revision of my knowledge about the English grammar. I learned how to distinguish the differences between superlatives, adjectives and comparatives and when to use these properly. I understood when a verb is transitive and when a verb is untransitive. I expanded my knowledge of broadening my vocabularly with the charts of the irregular verbs.
