I learned the different categories of the parts of speech and each of their subcategories. Each part of speech has more than one use and has many words to convey each use. I learned more specific definitions of things I already knew such as the indefinite articles a and an versus the definite article the. Unit 2 teaches how to use parts of speach correctly. I have learned how they are clasified. The correct use of the words. I also learned the forms of the nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, articles and etc. Unit Parts of Speach reminded me all the grammar rules that are important to know while teaching the students. In this unit I reviewed the parts of speech. The parts of speech included nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, and prepositions. Since the rules for the parts of speech are flexible and change depending on the situation, it can be difficult for students to learn the proper usage.
