This unit reviews basic parts of speech. It includes functions, forms, and examples of nouns and pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and articles. I am actually more familiar with the grammar rules for spanish, having taught Spanish for many years, and Spanish grammar being far more regular than English grammar. This review will be helpful in answering English grammar questions, especially regarding specific rules for word order. When using one's native language, word order is internalized and natural, but when learning a non-native language, rules are helpful for learning until usage and practice produce an ear for what is correct.
