A lot of this section was familiar to me, both from grade school and also learning spanish. However parts of it were novel, such as breakdowns within groups e.g. countable vs uncountable nouns, definite vs indefinite articles, and comparative vs superlative adjectives. Also some of the rules of word order like big, white, square sign, or small, old blue plastic table, i would have never been able to formulate, though perhaps I had some subconscious perception of them.
