This unit describes the various parts of speech of the English language. The parts of speech includes nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, articles, prepositions and conjunctions. I am the person the book describes as having a good command of the English language, but has no idea how the knowledge was obtained or what part of grammar was each word. It has been over 50 years since I took an English class and the terminology has changed somewhat. I feel I know have a working knowledge of the parts of speech.
