I have learned many grammar rules that I never had to think about Before. almost everything has a rule when it comes to grammar. things like countable and uncountable nouns, countable like dogs and pens and uncountable like bread and music, I have also learned about common nouns, proper nouns, compounds nouns and collective nouns. Verbs like state verbs that indicate a state of being, and auxiliary verbs that are helping verbs. another thing is that verbs tells us what tense the sentence has been formed in. for example present tense or past tens. I have also familiarized myself with the regular and irregular verbs. another thing I have gained from this unit is it further explained the different types of adjectives. and the pattern it usually follows such as age, color material. there are possessive adjectives like my, your his, her, etc. Comparative and superlatives is something that I have also learned about. Example. faster is comparative, the fastest is superlative. this Unit also covered Adverbs that describe verbs using manner, place time and frequency. this unit went on to describe prepositions which show a relationship between a noun/pronoun and the rest of the sentence, example. time, (before, during, in, at, on) place (in at on, under between) movement (forward, towards, to, through) and others ( of with for)I have also learned about pronouns including reflexive and relative. this unit also covered Gerund which is a verb+ing and its used as a noun in the sentence, example, I enjoy playing soccer. this unit also talked about conjunctions which are linking words, Example, and, but, or.
