Parts of speech was always intimidating to me. Learning another language myself, adverbs scared me. I could not define them. After this course, I've realized that they are quite simple. I also learned many other things about my own language. For example, there is an acceptable order to adjectives. It never occurred to me that adjectives ordered incorrectly sound weird. Having to analyze each word in a sentence, and naming it, really makes one think about their language.
