I love grammar! It is always a pleasure to study and review some concepts related to the structures, etc. It is the skeleton of the language and a teacher must master it! I always say that we teachers are not a dictionary but we must be a grammar book! The way we teach grammar to students is essential. Grammar is something I have generally taken for granted. Re-learning the fundamentals of the English language was valuable and I feel more confident in future teaching endeavors as a result. Since I am learning japanese and doing this program simultaneously, it was nice to know the grammar rules already. I have learnt more about parts of speech and grammar. I am now familiar and comfortable with different parts of speech and it is now much easier for me to identify different parts of speech in a sentence. This unit was very informative and will be extremely useful to me in my teaching career.
