This unit covered the basic parts of speech of English grammar. Within each part of speech, the unit goes into some greater detail about the different forms a word can take. Although I was fairly familiar with the usages of these forms as a native speaker, it was new to see the grammar laid out in such a technical way. I get a sense of how convoluted and counter-intuitive English grammar can be. Hopefully this will help develop some patience and empathy with any students I might have.
