This unit was a good review of many of the most common parts of speech in the English language. It covered the basics and was a good refresher. Even as a native speaker I still get confused on some parts of speech such as the gerund, but it was easily explained and I feel more confident explaining it to my students. The overall theme of this unit was to refresh and allow teachers to familiarize themselves with the parts of speech so they can better think of how to explain it to students. Obviously these parts of speech are all important in order to reach a higher level of fluency, but I think they should be taught indirectly in the classroom. It is overwhelming for non native speakers to understand all this if the teacher just writes it on the board.
