Unit 2 covers various parts of speech. This is important because as a tefl teacher you must be knowledgeable about the grammar you expect to teach the students so that you can explain it adequately to them and answer all of their questions.
Learning these simple, or not so simple, rules allows you to be a better teacher. Although a native English speaker most likely already speaks and writes using these parts of speech properly, in order to teach someone that has not grown up in an English environment how to properly speak these rules must be taught, explained, and understood.
