I learned more about the different components within speech and sentences. I learned the names for each and how they relate with one another. There are many rules that are general, and there are always exceptions to those rules, so I am unsure how to teach them to students. I have seen students struggle, and I want to help them, but I am not sure how to explain. Part of it is a language barrier on my part. I think it's helpful to start trying to explain basics and work towards a more thorough understanding.
