This unit focuses on recognizing and classifying parts of speech, the nuances of grammar and the structure of a sentence.
An overview of specifics are included for all the parts of speech i.e. different types of nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, pronouns, definite/indefinite articles, and for me, the long forgotten gerund.
The content of this unit is convincing evidence of the importance of modeling correct grammar usage for our students. I feel it would be a full time mission or education for students to learn grammar by solely learning all the rules and exceptions the english language has.
I therefore conclude it is much easier to learn correct grammar by listening and recognizing ?what sounds right.? Correct modeling of this for students is a must.
