Structuring sentences utilizing parts of speech correctly is a very critical skill which needs to be mastered in an early stage. EFL students usually memorize parts of speech in their native language but only as grammatical terms. Apart from distinguishing names of them, parts of speech do not mean much to them. By pointing out and showing students how parts of speech are being used or what their functions are, students will start seeing the importance of each part carried out in each sentence. I look forward to seeing if creative ways of implementing practices will be introduced as I continue with this program.
