Unit Two gave an overview of the different parts of speech and their usage rules. It defined nouns, adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions, and other parts of speech and described the different types of each one. The chapter presented ways to explain these parts of speech to English Language Learners. This chapter was particularly interesting because it explained rules of English that natives English speakers may not even realize they are following. For example, I did not realize that English has a general order of adjectives until I read this chapter, despite the fact that I was using them accurately in my everyday speech.
