This lesson showed different ways to evaluate a student’s progress and level of english. Before a course begins it is usually good for a student to take a placement test so that he can be grouped with students of a similar level. Tests can then be used throughout the course to determine how the students are progressing and to see if there are any problems that need to be addressed. Testing students is an important part of teaching english.
