This unit outlined a foundation for teaching grammar. While it did not include everything, it summarized main areas of grammar that a student at any level should know and have basic knowledge of and as a teacher, one should definitely be very familiar with these. As a teacher, I often get questions regarding some of the exceptions outlined in this section and after reviewing this unit, I feel more confident about providing clearer answers to my students. Summarizing what I have learned, I would have to say that when deconstructing a sentence, I will be able to point out grammar beyond the basic components of: s/n/v
