The content of this unit includes an introduction to parts of speech in English. A good working knowledge of this is very important in order to be able to teach a diversity of students.
From this unit I have learnt about the various components that can be used to form a sentence in English. Ranging from the most basic sentence containing only a subject and a verb, to more complex and common sentence structures.
This knowledge should prove useful when students have questions about how to correct mistakes they make in English. It is useful to provide them with these rules in order to calculate how to form a correct sentence in the future.
