In this section, we learned about the different parts of speech used in the English language. We learned about the core parts of speech such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs, but also more subtle entities like conjunctions, modifiers, pronouns and their constituent forms, as well as verb types. The lesson was rather informative. Parts of Speech is the base of grammar, so it's essential to have a good knowledge. As in every building, if the structure is not solid, then the later construction could easily fall down. Although seems to be a boring topic, teachers must encourage students to study consciously this basic grammar. This module was a good way to refresh some of these grammar points. I had forgotten the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs. It was a great review for me. This module also gave me time to create and modify my existing lesson plans so that I am able to teach in more detail.
