This tefl course has taught me a lot that I hadn't known or been taught previously. Being a native english speaker, I thought I knew all I had to know about my own language, but the ITTT tefl course has shown me that this isn't the case. This course has taught me a lot about the english language and has made me aware that english isn't an easy language to learn, it's actually quite complicated and without the appropriate training or teaching, it can be difficult to manoeuvre through.
The tefl course hasn't only taught me how to understand, explain and teach english, it has also been of benefit to me in my own learning of another language. It's aided me in identifying, understanding and interpreting the intricacies and structures, and has illustrated techniques that I can adapt for myself and others.
Overall, the ITTT tefl course has provided a well structured and balanced program, equipping me with a better understanding, a greater knowledge and varied teaching skills which can also be taken and applied to other professions and skills etc.
I am planning on using the tefl certificate to give support and guidance to the local school children, give private lessons to those in the local area who have shown an interest in learning english and on my future travels through Europe and Asia.
