After finishing this unit I feel that I have learned insightful methods of teaching writing to new english speakers. The lesson plan for this material was also very instructional and has given me confidence in teaching such skills. The verb tenses are still the hardest for me to categorize and figure out. I know I'm guilty of often writing in passive voice and having to go back and reword my writing to make it more interesting and active. I notice that this is a common tendency in my students as well. I wonder why that is.
