After reading this unit I was able to learn the importance of selecting a course book and be able to decipher between a good one and a bad one. It is important to keep you and your students in mind while choosing a book considering it will benefit both of you in the long run. In my opinion I believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and think that course books would be a very important part to planning out your lessons. I think it is a great guide to go by especially for someone like me who has never taught before. They are full of wonderful ideas and tips and are a very good tool to have if you use them correctly.
